Album preview: Mezmerized-Electrolyse

The Mezmerized band was founded in 2019 by Anna Király and Oliver Mudra. The pair soon found their individual style in this modern, popular and powerful-sounding music, so the band’s idea soon came to the fore and the work began.

Mezmerized first went to the studio at the end of the summer of 2019 to record their first single, “Desire” and then in October of that year, the song was released with a video clip. The sequel to “Satellite” arrived soon, with the single unveiled in December with a lyric video. Mezmerized has kicked off the year 2020 vigorously with even more singles to be released and preparations for its first major album. During the year, the band entered into a digital distribution agreement with Blood Blast Distribution (a joint subsidiary of Believe Digital and Nuclear Blast). After the team’s 6th successful single, “Cyanide,” (in which they worked with Amaranthe’s growler, GG6), their debut album “Electrolyze” will be released on September 18th. Thanks to the hard work of the team, they have now managed to gather an international team of professionals around them, such as Christoffer Borg (mixing and mastering) or Gustavo Sazes (graphics).

With its perseverance and professional attitude, Mezmerized is constantly reaching and conquering new areas in the world of metal music.

The first song on the album, the title track, is a very percussive and energetic song that gives the album a strong start.

This sound is also typical of the rest of the disc.

We slow down a bit on the song "Fireheart," but the band made sure to keep the energetic sound we used to at the beginning of the album.

Even with the two mid-tempo songs, "Call My Name," "Hybrid," you can feel like we've got a really energetic and modern-sounding record. In the song "Carry On" we can also hear the voice of Oliver, who is also the guitarist and keyboardist of the band. Mezmerized is a fresh spot in the sky. They has been brought a new colour to modern metal music, which also holds its place in the international market.
